There's a call for more helpers to join the team at Salisbury CCTV.

Operators of the camera system play a vital role in supporting the community.

If you're interested, and have got 16 hours spare a month, you could help make Salisbury a safer place to live, work and visit.

Salisbury CCTV needs additional CCTV operators. It's a demanding role, but comes with professional training enabling you to monitor the city's state-of-the-art CCTV system in the communications hub within the CCTV control room.

CCTV Operators also work in harmony with other local groups including ShopWatch, PubWatch, City wardens, and the Police.

Salisbury's new digital CCTV camera system was installed in 2017.

A recently retired CCTV Operator said:

“I will look back on my time in the CCTV team with pride and a sense of being a small part of a good bunch of people doing a very worthwhile and important job.”

There are spaces on the September CCTV Operators course, and to find out more contact Richard Goodman on 07849088205 or email him at Rgoodman@salisburycitycouncil.gov.uk
