Sarum Lights returns to Salisbury Cathedral this November and we've been told this year's show is a 'unique journey'.

Having originally been planned in celebration of the Cathedral's 800th birthday, the show has proven popular enough to continue returning, with this being it's fourth year.

Tickets for the show are now on sale.

The show is put together by Luxmuralis and their artistic director, Peter Walker, has told Greatest Hits Radio that using 'one of the most remarkable buildings in the world' helps create a really special event.

And Peter was able to give us an insight into what's to come at this years show, which features artwork spanning four centuries.

"This year's artwork is we're really covering a period of 250 years of art and culture from what's called the period of the Baroque.

"Right through to the end of the Victorian period, which she's the rise and the the great success of the Impressionists."

And with the help of various musical styles and a range of artistic styles, visitors will be taken on a unique journey.

The outer areas of the Cathedral will be dedicated to the Baroque period, which Peter told us more about.

"(It) was a period of art where we have these really sort of flurried movements in art and great colour and great shapes and really, a movement that allowed a whole different expression in art. "

Display's inside the Cathedral will be reflecting on centuries of 'new' ideas, such as moral philosophy, natural science and the first English dictionary.

One such display concentrates on early 20th century industrialisation, where we will walk through cogs, chains and machine parts.

There's also a bit of art that we can contribute to, called Starry Starry Night.

"We always like to have some participation artwork," Peter said, adding that its "always popular with the audiences."
