The busiest gate to enter Salisbury's Cathedral Close will be closed for two days later this week.

Repairs are being carried on the High Street gate, between 8.00am on Thursday 19th and 5.00pm on Friday 20th January.

That's to allow for some repair works to the masonry work around the gate itself.

Pedestrians and cyclists will still be able to use the gate throughout, but traffic won't be able to use it.

All vehicles will have to use the St Ann's Gate to enter the Close and use the Harnham Gate to leave.

Barriers will also be places across the High Street to make sure people, and those carrying out the maintenance are kept safe.
