New crosses on Salisbury Cathedral roof blessed
One more will be officially 'welcomed' next month
A pair of brand new stone crosses on the roof of Salisbury Cathedral have been blessed.
The Dean of Salisbury, Very Reverend Nick Papadopulos, climbed up to where they've been installed.
He's blessed them, to stand on the eastern end of the roof.
One more has been added there, made by the Cathedral's stonemasons, to be blessed next month.
A 'topping out' ceremony will mark the end of work on that end of the building.
That will also mean the scaffolding around the Cathedral can start to come down, after many years of work.
