A Salisbury venue's hosting a launch party tonight (Friday 21st April) for a Dorset music festival that's continuing a comeback from a ten year hiatus.

Endorset is being held in Cerne Abbas from July 20th to 22nd, after being held at Sixpenny Handley for many years.

Tonight's event at Brown Street will feature two bands that are on the line-up - Guns of Naverone and Meat Sweats.

Tickets are £5 (plus booking fee) and are available from the Brown Street website.

What is Endorset?

Endorset is an alternative festival which will be headlines by legendary ska and punk acts The Beat and Peter and The Test Tube Babies this year.

Dub Pistols and Prince Fatty are some of the other big name draws, along with local favourites Pyeshoppe and Pronghorn among the 100 strong line-up.

Some of the bands taking to the Endorset stage will be at Brown Street tonight (21st April)

Grant Sharkey, performing there on the Friday, says the festival has a unique identity:

“Endorset is how festivals should be. Small, trusting and letting the quality of the eclectic roster of music shine. Where some festivals are scared to mix genres, Endorset is perfectly curated from midday to midnight.

“(It's) friendly without being twee. There’s no facade separating the audience from the backstages. You can’t help but make friends there.”
