A team of officers from Salisbury Neighbourhood Team have been joined by Wiltshire Trading Standards team to target rogue traders in Salisbury.

In a mobile operation, the team identified premises where work was taking place and spoke to consumers and those conducting the work.

Most of the people spoken to were legitimate and consumers happy with their work, although the Trading Standards team were able to pass on advice to all parties.

The patrols were actioned after concerns were raised by local people of rogue traders targeting vulnerable people in Salisbury.

It is often found that rogue traders target the most vulnerable of our community in order to overcharge them for work carried out.

Advice for consumers is available on the trading standards website.

If you see work taking place at the property of someone who you believe to be vulnerable and have concerns, it is recommended that you report them to 101.
