Suspected Class A drugs seized at Fordingbridge retirement complex
The properties are designed for over 55's
Suspected Class A drugs have been seized during a raid at retirement complex in Fordingbridge on Friday (17th November) morning.
Hampshire Police executed a Section 23 misuse of drugs warrant around 7am on Friday morning at an address in Pembridge House on Salisbury Road.
Pembridge House is available to single people over the age of 55 years old.
After forced entry, officers seized several items alongside the suspected drugs, included mobile phones and drug paraphernalia.
A man, 32, has been interviewed in connection to the suspected offence of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug, with the investigation and enquiries continuing.
Reflecting on the operation, New Forest District Commander, Chief Inspector Nick Marsden, said: “Officers continue to tackle drug-related activity across the New Forest, but can only do so with the support and information from our communities.
As the eyes and ears on the ground, please continue to let us know about activity in the area in which you live.
The more information you share with us, the more we can develop this, and the more action we can take, including the execution of warrants and the targeting of criminals causing the most harm to our communities."
The operation involved Ringwood and Fordingbridge Neighbourhood Policing Team, the New Forest Neighbourhood Enforcement Team and Method of Entry officers.
Officers are now working with partner agencies, such as Sovereign Housing Association, to protect vulnerable residents in the area.
