A tentative re-opening date for Wilton Library has been announced by a Wiltshire Councillor.

It’s hoped the library will re-open to the public on Tuesday 22nd August at 1:30pm.

Writing on her Facebook page, Cllr Pauline Church says it is hoped that the library team will have the building handed back to them on 14th August.

Between the 14th and 22nd, the team will need to return the books, set up IT services and ensure the building is safe and clean.

The library has been closed since April, owing to repair works to the roof. The working still ongoing, with lights being changed and insulation added.

On re-opening day, the library will remain open until 7pm, before resuming normal hours which are:

Tuesday 10am-7pm

Thursday 10am-5pm

Friday 10am-5pm

Saturday 10am-1pm
