Wiltshire Council have confirmed that a couple more sites have opened in the South of the county for rapid Covid-19 test collection.

It means that people will be able to collect Lateral Flow Devices and use them at home.

You can now pick up the tests from:

  • The Vale Community Campus in Pewsey
  • Nadder Centre in Tisbury
  • These will open in line with the building opening hours so people are being asked to check before they set off.

Those two sites join the ones in Salisbury that have already opened.

More sites are expected to be open soon.

People can still collect from the Bourne Hill offices in the city as well as the Beehive Park and Ride site.

There is now need to book ahead either, you can just turn up.

Anyone with Covid-19 symptoms should NOT carry out an LFD and instead take a PCR test.

People who take an LFD which returns a positive result should self isolate and then also then get a PCR.

Kate Blackburn, Public Health Director for Wiltshire, said:

"Alongside the rollout of the vaccine, regular testing is an essential part of the easing of restrictions, helping identifying variants and stopping individual cases from becoming outbreaks.

With one in three people with coronavirus showing no symptoms and potentially spreading it without knowing, rapid lateral flow tests are one of the tools we have in helping to identify cases of coronavirus we would otherwise not find."
