£50k target as Race for Men returns to Hudson's Field
2023 features a new route and 5-a-side football tournament
Race for Men is back in Salisbury today (Sunday 28th May) and is aiming to pass £50,000 raised.
The event is held at Hudson’s Field and seeks to raise money for the Stars Appeal Prostate cancer fund.
"This year we are hoping to get over the £50,000 mark," said event organizer Toby Giles, "We're already at £47,000 from our previous six events with Race for Men."
Alongside the usual, 3k, 10k and half marathon routes, a new 5km run has been included for 2023, but there is plenty of other activities for people to enjoy.
Toby told us: "We have lots of different food vendors, a licenced bar, an inflatable assault course, bouncy castle, face painting and from 12pm to 5pm, live music on stage."
Local bands, including The Deloreons, Signature Vision and Disco Dion are set to perform.
Toby is expecting more than 1,000 people to attend the event this year, with the weather set fair for an enjoyable afternoon.
