Race For Men returns to Salisbury after Covid hiatus
The running event is back at Hudson's Field today (Sunday 5th June)

Salisbury's Race For Men is FINALLY going ahead today (Sunday 5th June) following a two year break.
The event had to be cancelled in 2020 and 2021, because of various lockdowns and Covid restrictions.
But it's now back, in support of the Salisbury District Hospital Stars Appeal Prostate Cancer fund, with hundreds of runners taking part in 3K, 5K or 10K events.
The routes will all start and finish from Hudson's Field, with activities planned for non-runners to get involved in too.
For the first time this year, women are also welcome to take part, to raise money in support of those with male cancer.
It's hoped fundraising from this year's event will push organisers over the £50,000 milestone in support of the Stars Appeal's Prostate Cancer Fund, since Race for Men was launched in 2015.
Organiser Toby Giles said:
"We're absolutely over the moon to be back at Hudson's Field. After 3 years in the wilderness, not able to raise money for prostate cancer, we can all come together and raise cash and awareness for the Stars Appeal Prostate Cancer Fund.
"I want local people to be able to see where their money is going. That's why we went to the Stars Appeal and set up the fund at Salisbury District Hospital. (Fundraisers) can see the equipment that is going to help diagnose and make treatment more efficient and effective."
Ellie is one of the volunteers who's helping out today.
She explains why it's a cause that's so important to her:
"I personally know far too many people who have had prostate cancer, or have died from it. That's why I support events like Race for Men and want to raise money and awareness, because the illness is treatable, if caught early."
