Primark announces long-awaited Salisbury opening date
The fashion retailer is starting it's recruitment drive ahead of doors opening.
Finally, we have an opening date for the new Primark store in Salisbury.
After months of “Summer 2023”, the fashion retailer has confirmed that doors will open in September, with an exact date to come closer to the time.
Located at Old George Mall, in the former BHS unit, the arrival of Primark has been hotly anticipated.
Primark Salisbury store manager Christopher Carter said the construction team had been working hard and now it’s time for the next step of the journey.
“Primark is an amazing place to work and we’re looking forward to welcoming 100 new members to the family over the coming months as we prepare for launch in September,” he said.
“We know that Salisbury shoppers have been eagerly awaiting the opening, so we can’t wait to welcome them to store.”
The Salisbury store will be it’s first new unit in England for over two-years, becoming the 192nd store across the UK.
And of course, a new store will need staffing.
The two-floor store will require 100 new colleagues, with the recruitment drive launching today (3rd July).
New staff will start from as early as August and roles within the store include retail assistants, stockroom colleagues, and visual merchandisers.
