£20,000 raised by Stars Appeal raffle
The lucky winner has picked up a brand new car

Through ticket sales and extra generous donations, the Stars Appeal raffle has raised £20,000 for the charity.
All the money raised will be going towards the £1 million they are aiming to have donated to provide projects across Salisbury District Hospital.
The top prize of the raffle was a brand new car supplied by FJ Chalke & Vale Motors, while second and third were £500 and £250 respectively.
David Ellis, from Salisbury, won the brand new Kia Picanto worth over £10,000.
Meanwhile, Linda Newman, also from Salisbury, won the £500 and Victor Stevens, Ludgershall, took home £250.
Some of the projects the money raised will go towards, include:
- Funding aromatherapy, headwear and treament for cancer patients
- Maintain and enhance the Stars Appeal Breast Unit
- Create a new birthing centre
- Provide accommodation for families with babies being treated on Neonatal Unit
- Free Wi-Fi
- Hospital chaplain service
- Water coolers
