Post Office to open in Longhedge
The service will set up inside the local Spar shop
Longhedge is to get a Post Office within its local shop - opening up in April.
The Spar on Rhodes Moorhouse Way will have the counter inside, and will operate for 105 hours per week, Monday to Sunday.
We're told the Post Office will offer standard services for posting letters and parcels, with collections and returns for online shopping, as well as banking services.
Until now, the nearest Post Office for people in Longhedge and Old Sarum would be in Salisbury city centre, or Amesbury.
Antoinette Chitty, Post Office Network Provision Lead, said:
“We want to make it as easy as possible for customers to pay their bills, withdraw cash from their bank accounts, and send and collect their mail at a time and place that suits them best. We know how important our services are to customers, and are confident that this brand new Post Office will ensure that people in this area of Salisbury have easy access to our services.”
