Police have been tackling the illegal use of some byways and bridleways around Ludgershall and Upper Chute.

Officers says motorbikes and 4x4s have been using the tracks, when vehicles are prohibited from using them.

They're designed for walkers and horse riders instead, with concerns that motorised vehicles using them could pose a safety risk.

Images of the signs showing that cars and motorbikes are banned have been shared, with extra patrols by police to make sure the rules are being followed.

In a social media post, officers said:

"We are investigating these reports and would urge motorists to be aware that vehicles are not permitted down these byways.

"Do not place yourself and other users at risk by using these lanes illegally."
