Detectives investigating the death of a 39-year-old man in Trowbridge have been granted more time to interview two suspects.

Officers had been called to a residential address in Whiterow Park at about 9.30pm on Monday evening (25 August) following reports of a disorder.

They found a 39-year-old man in the back garden, who was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

A 61-year-old man from Trowbridge and a 46-year-old man from Hilperton were arrested on suspicion of murder.

Detective Inspector Ambrose said: “People living in the area can expect to see an increased police presence over the coming days, with a scene in place and further house to house and CCTV enquiries taking place."
