Man knocked unconscious in assault after football match in Salisbury

It happened after the game ended last week

A person was knocked unconscious during an assault at a six a side football match in Salisbury.

The game was taking place at around 6pm on Sunday 4th April at Salisbury and South Wiltshire Sports Club on Wilton Road.

The final whistle blew and it is reported that an altercation took place.

During the incident the victim was hit to the face which knocked him unconscious and requiring hospital treatment.

Wiltshire Police are hoping that anyone watching the match at the end will come forward.

They are also asking people with video footage of the match to get in touch.
