Some of the patient care at Salisbury District Hospital is to be transferred to a different hospital while the Breamore Ward undergoes essential maintenance.

In order to avoid a reduction in the number of beds available, up to 26 patients will be able to be cared for across two wards at South Newton Hospital at any one time.

It's a six to eight week arrangement, subject to regulatory approval.

If approved, it will begin from 22nd September.

CEO Stacey Hunter said:

“This arrangement will allow the hospital to continue to deliver the same level of care while essential maintenance is completed. The NHS will continue to deliver the care with NHS staff and free to all patients. We are grateful to Renovo Care who have worked in partnership with us.”
