Residents of Test Valley and the New Forest will have digital parking permits from 1st April.

Permits can be renewed and applied for online, on the app or over the phone, using MiPermit, with locals able to activate visitor permits and make instantly visible changes to vehicle details.

For 2023-24 residents parking permit charges will remain at the same price as currently charged by each district and borough council.

People with a paper-based permit don’t need to worry, as their current permits will remain valid until their expiry date.

Hampshire County Council’s Executive Lead Member for Universal Services, Cllr Nick Adams-King said the move would help “reduce operational costs”.
