National Highways are carrying out work on the A36 at Wilton from tonight (Monday 7th March), which will mean the road's shut in both directions overnight.

They'll be on site between 8.00pm and 5.00am each night, finishing on the morning of Friday 18th March.

The closure will be in effect from the A3094 Netherhampton Road/Park Wall junction to the Wilton roundabout.

A new toucan crossing is being installed close to the Wilton House Garden Centre.

That's a light controlled crossing point that's suitable for both pedestrians and cyclists.

The work will take place just outside the Wilton House Garden Centre

DIVERSION ROUTE

National Highways has put an official diversion route in place while the work's carried out.

That'll see drivers take coming from Wilton towards Salisbury taken up The Avenue, down the A360 Devizes Road to St Pauls roundabout, around the ring road to Harnham junction, and along the A3094 Netherhampton Road.

Drivers won't be able to turn left towards Wilton though, and right turns from Park Wall junction are normally forbidden.
