The ramps have been painted by the young people who use them

A year after a skate park was installed at Old Sarum, the ramps have been given a fresh new look!

Art sessions have been held at the facility off Castle Well Drive for young people to help create some graffiti designs for the area.

11 to 16 year olds were given the chance to paint the concrete themselves on Monday (8th August) across two sessions.

The paintings have been created this week to give the park a more exciting look

They were helped with the designs by Bristol based graffiti artists, OLAS Art - and also made their own canvasses to take home, some even choosing to decorate their skateboards!

Laverstock and Ford Parish Council own the skate park, which opened in September 2021.

The activity's been planned to give young people in Old Sarum a sense of ownership in the facility, and prevent anti-social behaviour.

The park's been in place for around a year
