The building that's currently home to Salisbury's Odeon cinema is up for sale - but there's no risk to the screens themselves.

The New Canal site has been listed for auction next month (13th July), with a guide price of over £850,000.

But the details for the Hall of John Halle also state that Odeon has a long term lease in the building until 2089.

The building has been a cinema since 1931, and even features on Salisbury's Monopoly board.

Odeon has confirmed to Greatest Hits Radio that there'll be no impact to their operations there.

The same auction, run by Acuitus |newtab)also includes two other Salisbury locations.

10 Catherine Street, which is the building used by Oxfam as their city charity shop, is listed for offers in excess of £200,000.

While, 3 - 7 New Canal, formerly home to a Laura Ashley store, has a guide price of £1 million to £1.1 million.
