The city's cinema, on New Canal, is preparing to reopen its doors to film watchers on Monday (17th May).

The Odeon is welcoming fans back to 105 venues across the country as part of the government's next step of its Roadmap.

A number of safety measures will be in place as the chain say the well-being of their customers and guests is their 'top priority'.

They'll be limited capacity and you'll have to wear a face mask when you arrive but once seated you will be socially distanced, as there will be empty spaces between parties, and you can remove it.

Show times will be staggered to avoid queues and it'll be contactless payments only.

There will be more frequent cleaning too.

Carol Welch, Managing Director ODEON Cinemas Group UK, said:

"I am delighted to be welcoming guests back to experience the joy of the big screen at ODEON on 17 May. We've all missed the magic that the cinema brings to movie watching, and we know our guests are excited about coming back."

Tickets are on sale now.

New films coming out including 'Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway', 'Fast & Furious 9', Marvel's 'Black Widow', 'Top Gun: Maverick' and the long awaited 'No Time to Die'.
