Objects thrown at moving vehicles in Redlynch and Woodfalls

Police were called to the area on Saturday night

Wiltshire Police received a number of reports about objects thrown at cars in Redlynch and Woodfalls on the 27th of March.

One vehicle was targeted near the bus stop on the B3080 between Appletree Road and Morgan's Vale Road around. 7.45pm,

Offices were then called to a similar report a little further up the road on The Ridge at Woodfalls at 8.15pm.

The car involved sustained damage to the front bumper.

Wiltshire Police believe at least two other vehicles were targeted.

In a statement given to Greatest Hits Radio the force said:

"Our enquiries are ongoing but we'd encourage anyone who may have been driving in the area at that time who has any information or dash cam footage to contact us on 101 and quote crime reference number 54210028944."

Police believe several vehicles were targeted on The Ridge.

A third incident at 8.22pm in Morgans Rise Road is also being investigated and is believed to be connected.

Meanwhile it was a busy night for police in the area, officers were called to a disorder at Moot Lane in Downton at 8.30pm.

A 34 year old Salisbury man has been charged with being drunk and disorderly in a public place.

James Hennessy, of Kivel Court, has been released on bail to appear before Salisbury Magistrates Court on the 9th of July.
