Night-time closures on A303 at Amesbury

The stretch between Countess and Longbarrow will be affected

The A303 at Amesbury will be closed overnight for three nights, starting later (Wednesday 24th August).

National Highways will be 'updating road markings' between the Countess and Longbarrow roundabouts.

Work will be carried tonight (24th), tomorrow (Thursday 25th August) and next Tuesday (30th August), following the Bank Holiday weekend.

The closure will be in place in both directions from 9.00pm to 6.00am on each night, with diversion routes in place.

That'll take drivers coming from the west along the A360, the B3086, the Packway at Larkhill and the A345 to rejoin the A303.

The diversion's reversed for drivers wanting to travel westbound.

No restrictions will be taking place during the day, or over the Bank Holiday.

We're also told this is not connected to the A303 Stonehenge tunnel project.
