After more than 16 months of lying vacant one of Salisbury's empty stores has a new lease of life.

Sofas and Stuff has opened in New Canal in the building previously occupied by Laura Ashley.

The fashion chain closed its branch in the city last year after going into administration as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Salisbury store is Sofa and Stuff's nineteenth.

The company began in 2009 with just four employees in Fittleworth, West Sussex where their flagship store and head office are still based today.

Each individual piece is handmade in Britain and can be upholstered in any fabric in the world.

Andrew Cussins, Founder and CEO, Sofas & Stuff, says:

“We are excited to launch our new showroom in Salisbury, bringing the Sofas & Stuff experience to the beautiful town and surrounding area. Our team can’t wait to become part of the community, and to welcome customers into our new home.”

The company launched their Eco Pledge an initiative that aims to give customers more sustainable options and to prevent 1 million plastic bottles from entering the ocean by the end of 2021.

They have already far exceeded this goal by offering an alternative filling, created from recycled ocean bound plastic, across all their bespoke sofas and chairs ranges.
