A new manager's been unveiled for Salisbury FC's Women's side.
Danny Carter will take up the role ahead of the new season at the Ray Mac.
Midlander Danny formerly served in the Royal Navy, and now works as a scaffolder in South Wiltshire.
He's shared his vision for the club:
"I moved to Amesbury in 2020 where I live with my long-suffering partner, Leanne, my two boys Archie and Riley plus a mad Golden Retriever called Freddie.
"I have achieved Level 2 FA Badges as well as a Sports Psychology Masters. I love football. I played as a Goalkeeper, but am better suited to coaching than playing.
"I've been involved with both men’s and women’s football for many years and have coached/managed Stratford Spitfires Women, Appledore Lioness, Lochinver FC and Yatton FC.
"My dream is to grow and to open up the women's game in the area and bring through the youth and talent from the teams below as well as get all levels of women involved to enjoy this wonderful game. I ultimately want to progress the team into the next tier of women’s football and build on the family club mentality."
Salisbury FC Women play in the Wiltshire Women's League, with a series of pre-season friendlies later this summer.
They include home matches against Wiltshire Police on 6th August, and Westbury on 3rd September, along with away trips to Trowbridge on 13th August and Shaftesbury on 20th August.
