Green Hill Farm, which is run by Lovat Parks, is opening now to try and capitalise on the post lockdown boom in staycations.

There's a big focus in the park on the natural environment and living as part of the New Forest - with a wildlife lake and two fishing lakes, a wildlife centre and nature trails on site.

Raoul Fraser, Founder and CEO of Lovat Parks said:

"Our ethos is to focus on wellness and the great outdoors, and to offer an escape from the stresses of everyday life. Families across the UK have been cooped up inside for months this year and are keen to reconnect and get back to nature. As soon as the Government announced that holiday parks and campsites could reopen, the phones at Green Hill Farm were ringing off the hook as we took hundreds of enquiries from holidaymakers and potential owners.

"Restrictions on foreign travel mean that the popularity of staycations has reached an all-time high, and as one of the most beautiful areas of the UK, it's no surprise that the New Forest is seeing a surge in interest."

Green Hill Farm will use solar power lighting throughout the grounds, while the shop and cafe will use locally sourced produce to 'minimise food miles'.

Raoul Fraser said:

"We believe it's our duty to give back to the local community and create a positive impact for the environment as well as the people and wildlife who live in or nearby the park. We know that holiday parks haven't always had the best reputation, and we want to change that by building sustainable communities that contribute to the local economy and behave in a responsible way, while also creating unique, luxury experiences and homes that are attainable and affordable."
