As the temperature looks set to soar above 30 degrees Celsius across the New Forest today (17 June) so does the risk of wildfire.

You're being reminded that It only takes one spark to start a potentially devastating blaze, from something like a discarded cigarette.

Forestry England is reiterating the message that The New Forest is a no BBQ and no fire zone at all times of the year.

No fires of any kind are permitted in any of the New Forest's car park or other areas of the Forest.

As the hot and dry weather continues into the weekend, please help reduce the risk of fires and remember to care for the New Forest.
