New City Councillor needed in Salisbury

It's for the Salisbury St Francis and Stratford ward

A second July election could be held in Salisbury to fill a space on the City Council.

It would be for the Ward of Salisbury St Francis and Stratford, which is currently without a city council representative.

Anyone wanting to stand for election for the role needs to obtain a nomination paper from the Returning Officer.

It can be found at the following places:

• Electoral Commission website: www.electoralcommission.org.uk/i-am-a/candidate-or-agent/parish-council-elections-england

• Main Reception at County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge BA14 8JN

• Main Reception at The Council House, Bourne Hill, Salisbury SP1 3UZ

• Main Reception at Council Offices, Monkton Park, Chippenham SN15 1ER

• By telephoning Wiltshire Electoral Services on 0300 456 0112.

Candidates must then submit the paper to the Returning Officer by no later than 4pm on Friday 14th June 2024.

It can be hand delivered to the officer or to his staff at Electoral Services, Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 8JN

If the election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday 11th July 2024.
