Vehicle fire in Downton

A motorhome has been completely destroyed by a fire in Downton.

Firefighters from Salisbury were sent to begin tackling the blaze on Barford Lane at 1.49pm yesterday afternoon (2 April 2021).

DWFRS Fire Control say two crews from Salisbury were mobilised, but unfortunately the campervan was 100% destroyed by fire.

The fire was extinguished by use of a high pressure hose reel jet.

It's not known what caused the blaze.
