The owners of a motorhome lost almost all their belongings after a fire gutted the vehicle in Larkhill.
A woman and her father managed to escape, after one of them could smell burning plastic in the middle of the night.
The smoke alarms had failed to activate and they woke up to large flames in the downstairs of a converted double decker bus.
They got out of the vehicle, along with their dog, unharmed and tried to use an extinguisher to fight the flames and other motorhome owners staying in the area tried to help with no luck.
Crews from Amesbury and Salisbury attended and tried using hose reel jats as well as breathing apparatus.
With no hydrants being nearby, a water carrier was mobilised from Andover carrying 10,000 litres of water.
Eventually it took over 14,000 litres to extinguish the fire.
Thermal imaging cameras and drag forks were also used.
The motorhome was destroyed and the owners lost almost all their belongings and possessions in the fire.
Firefighters were able to save some photos and memorabilia, which the owners were grateful for.
A number of pictures from the incident were posted on Amesbury Fire Station's Facebook page.
They also said they send their best wishes to the owners.
