Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries in crash on Salisbury's ring road

A motorcyclist has been seriously injured in a crash on the A36 in Salisbury.

Emergency services including Wiltshire Air Ambulance were called to a single vehicle crash at St Mark's roundabout around 4pm on Sunday.

The rider, a man in his 30s, was taken to Southampton Hospital by land ambulance and remains there today.

The road was closed for three hours following the accident.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to call Wiltshire Police on101 and quote log 199 of September 18.
