More than 65% of Wiltshire population given Covid booster jab

More than a million vaccines have been administered in total

The latest figures show that 65.2% of those aged 12 and up in Wiltshire have received three Covid-19 jabs.

As of Monday (3rd January) statistics from the Department of Health and Social Care showed there have been a total of 1,111,492 vaccines given out across the county.

89.2% of the eligible population have received at least one dose.

Meanwhile, the number of Covid-19 cases in the county is still at quite a high level.

In the seven days to the 30th December, 5,945 positive results have been returned in Wiltshire.

That's an increase of 1,694 from the previous week.

It means that the county's case rate per 100,000 population is at 1,179.4.

That's below the national average of 1,588.1.
