Trial success to bring more recycling bins to Salisbury City centre
More recycling bins are coming to the City Centre
After a successful trial in August 2022, 12 more recycling bins are going to be installed in Salisbury City Centre.
20 bins were installed for the trial and generated 4.252 tonnes of recycling waste.
The 12 new units will replace the old cast iron bins around the City Centre within the next few weeks, with a wider implementation across the city expected in May.
The new bins add to the more than 400 regular bins across the City.
Cllr Wells said, “Thank you to those who have done their bit by using the recycling bins in the City.
“We are delighted to see that they are being used so well and I look forward to seeing more recycling bins across the City to encourage further recycling and reduce the amount of waste going to landfill.”
