Pair sentenced for Griffin School Salisbury burglary

Two local crooks stole a safe and the school mini buses

44 year old David Clift, from Salisbury and his 26 year old nephew Josh Clifft, from Longhedge, have been sentenced for the burglary at Salisbury's Griffin School.

The two men were sentenced at Salisbury Crown Court on Friday (11 Dec 2021) for the crime which they committed in September last year.

A safe containing £200-£300 cash was taken as well as the school's two mini buses.

David Leslie Clift, who faced three charges of burglary and two of taking a vehicle without consent, was sentenced to 2 years 6 months imprisonment and ordered to pay £181 to victim services.

Josh Joseph Frank Clift, who faced one charge of burglary, two charges of taking a vehicle without consent, failing to provide, driving with no insurance and driving with a provisional licence was given a 16 month sentence suspended for two years.
