Patients at Fordingbridge Surgery need only wait two-weeks at the most for non-urgent appointments, according to GP Dr Toby Wallis.

Dr Wallis made that statement at the recent Friends of Fordingbridge Surgery AGM, adding: “We think we are doing well, but of course we always strive to improve our services.”

Former Vice Chair Revd Kate Wilson said that ‘in-person’ consultations have risen beyond the levels before the Covid-19 pandemic.

130 people joined the AGM to share mostly positive feedback.

Among the positivity was praise for a new online patient consultation system being successfully introduced, while a new pharmacy queue system has reduced reception area congestion.

However, key priorities were highlighted during the meeting, such as: post-Covid staffing and the working environment, improving call waiting times, as well as the importance of encouraging the use of online consultation and booking services to help free up the phone for those who need it most.
