Man robbed and assaulted in Amesbury car park

The victim had cash stolen from his wallet

A man's been robbed and assaulted in an Amesbury car park.

The victim, who's in his 50s, was attacked between 1.20am and 1.55am on Saturday morning (6th August), in the Central Car Park, near the public toilets.

He was assaulted by a man and a woman, and fell to the ground.

The man took his wallet, phone and keys from his pockets, while his bag was also stolen.

All of the items were later found nearby, but £180 in cash was missing from the victim's wallet.

He also suffered minor injuries.

A description of the attackers hasn't been given, but police say their enquiries are still ongoing.

Officers are asking anyone who saw what happened, or who might have information, to get in touch with them.
