A 25 year old man's pleaded not guilty to the murder of another man in Salisbury.
Maurice Jones, from Gainsborough Close, has appeared at Winchester Crown Court today (Thursday 14th December) to enter his plea.
He's charged with the murder of 20 year old Tsvetomir Genov, who died in a stabbing incident on Bemerton Heath on August 22nd this year.
Jones has been remanded in custody, with a provisional trial date set for 3rd June 2024.
A further hearing is also expected to take place on 4th March.
Following the incident, which sent shockwaves through the Bemerton Heath community, the family of victim TG, as he was known locally, released a statement.
In that, they said:
"We lost our first-born amazing son TG suddenly and it is a really hard time for our family. He is a brother to two boys and also a father to a little boy.
"We still don't want to believe he is not here anymore and he will never be back and we will never see his smile again, will not hear his voice, his little boy will have to grow up without his father.
"It is hard and painful, sad and heartbreaking. He will stay forever 20 as someone took him from us in such a cruel and horrible way."
