Man suffers homophobic abuse in Cathedral Close incident

The victim also had a traffic cone thrown at him

A man's been subjected to homophobic abuse and had a traffic come thrown towards him in Salisbury's Cathedral Close.

Wiltshire Police tell us an incident happened at around 1.15pm today (Monday 23rd January).

The victim, in his 30s, was verbally abused by another man - and the traffic cone luckily missed him.

The offender then walked away in the direction of the St Ann's gate on Exeter Street.

He's described as:

  • White
  • Aged in his 20s
  • Around 6 feet tall
  • Proportionate build
  • Wearing a black hooded top
  • Black jogging bottoms
  • Black rucksack with a white Nike logo on the back

There's an appeal for anyone with information to get in touch with officers, by calling 101, and quoting reference number 54230005233.
