Man suffers serious eye injury in Salisbury assault

Police are calling it a 'nasty, unprovoked attack'

A man in his 30s has suffered a serious eye injury during an assault in Salisbury city centre.

The victim was attacked by two males at the junction of Catherine Street and Milford Street at around 12.45am on Sunday morning (25th September).

He was taken to Salisbury District Hospital, and remains there in a stable condition.

Det Sgt Toni Nugent, of South CID, said:

“This was a nasty, unprovoked assault on a man who was out with his girlfriend when he was approached by two men he had never met and punched multiple times.

“We believe there were people in the area at the time who may have information which could help so please get in touch.”

The assault happened on the corner of Milford Street and Catherine Street

Police have released two CCTV images of males they'd like to speak to in connection with that happened.
