Man dies after crash on Marchwood bypass

A van and a car were also involved

Police are appealing for information after a pedestrian died on the Marchwood bypass.

A Volkswagen Transporter and a Suzuki Swift were also involved in the collision near to the Priory Clinic between 6.50pm and 6.55pm yesterday evening (Monday 6 March 2023).

A 68-year-old man from Salisbury died.

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

The road was closed for five hours while officers carried out their investigations at the scene. It has now been re-opened.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who may have seen someone waiting to cross the road at the location.

Officers would also like to speak to anyone who may have been passing through the area between 6.45pm and 6.55pm who has a dashcam fitted to their vehicle.
