A man from Wiltshire's due in court today, charged with stalking an MP.

He was arrested on Thursday by counter terror police.

36 year-old Feras Al-Jayoosi is from Rodbourne in Swindon say Wiltshire Police.

He's accused of criminal damage and stalking a Wiltshire based MP.

The MP is not currently being named by the police.

He's due to appear before magistrates in Swindon today (25th Nov)

Wiltshire police statement:

Feras Al-Jayoosi, 36, from Rodbourne, Swindon, was arrested by officers from Counter Terrorism Policing South West on 23 November on suspicion of harassment against a Wiltshire-based MP and criminal damage.

Today (24/11) he has been charged with offences of stalking and criminal damage.

Al-Jayoosi is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court tomorrow (25/11).
