Man charged following Pewsey stabbing incident

A man's been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, following a stabbing incident in Pewsey.

65 year old Luciano Marenghi from the High Street, has also been charged with possessing a bladed article in a public place.

It follows an incident outside the Co-Op at around 5.30pm on Monday evening (4th September) in which a man was stabbed.

The victim, in his 30s, suffered injuries that aren't thought to be life-threatening.

Marenghi has appeared at Swindon Magistrates Court today (Wednesday 6th September) and been remanded in custody.
