Man charged with assaulting Fordingbridge police officers

38 year old Lee John Wells, of no fixed abode, has been charged with two counts of assaulting emergency workers.

This follows an incident in Fordingbridge where officers were assaulted while working to disperse a group of people breaching the lockdown restrictions.

This happened at around 6.00pm on Saturday evening.

Mr Wells has appeared in court and been bailed.

He's scheduled to re-appear at Southampton Magistrates Court on Thursday 10th December.
