Man charged with almost 40 child sexual offences in Wiltshire investigation

The charges include rape and involve nine victims

A man has been charged with 38 child sexual offences following an investigation by Wiltshire Police.

Mark South, a 38-year-old Jamaican living in Ashford, Kent, has been accused of crimes including four counts of rape, blackmail, taking and distributing indecent images of children, engaging in sexual communication with a child, causing and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and causing and inciting a child to prostitution.

The offences are alleged to have taken place between January 2021 and December 2024, involving nine victims.

South is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court today, 3rd December.

Police have not released further details about the case at this stage.
