Man avoids jail following assault on Salisbury shop worker
20 year old Jack Jordan from Coombe Bissett has been sentenced
A Coombe Bisset man's been sentenced for an assault against a Salisbury shop worker - but avoided jail.
20 year old Jack Jordan, of Blandford Road, admitted assault by beating and theft, following an incident at Sports Direct in Churchill Way West.
Officers were called to the store back in July, after Jordan attacked a member of staff who challenged him about shoplifting.
He became aggressive and left the scene on a motorbike, before police arrested him.
Jordan's now been sentenced at Salisbury Crown Court to a six week prison term for theft and an eight week sentence for assault - both suspended for 12 months.
He's also been ordered to pay £100 in compensation and a £154 victim surcharge.
