Man attacked with hammer at Salisbury shop

An 18 year old man has been attacked with a hammer in a Salisbury shop, with police now investigating.

The incident happened at the Spar shop in Gainsborough Close, Bemerton Heath, at around 3.50pm on New Year's Day (Monday 1st January).

The victim suffered only minor injuries.

There's now an appeal to trace any witnesses to the assault, or who might recognise the man pictured in a CCTV image that's been released by officers.

Officers are also keen for people with dash cam footage from passing the shop around the time to pass it on.
