Man assaulted by gang of 12 in Salisbury

A 21 year old man's been left with a head injury and black eye after being assaulted by a gang of 12 men in Salisbury city centre.

Wiltshire Police tell us this happened at around 1.00am on Sunday 9th January in Catherine Street.

The victim was punched by the gang.

His friends were also attacked when they tried to step in to help, getting punched and kicked several times.

A picture's been released of some people police would like to speak to in connection with the assault.

All of the offenders are believed to be aged between 20 and 30.

Police are now asking for our help to identify the people in the pictures, and would like anyone with information to come forward.
