Man assaulted by youths during disorder in Salisbury
Two people have been arrested
A man has been assaulted by a group of youths during a disorder which took place in Salisbury last month.
At around 5.35pm on Monday 23rd May, something was thrown at a car which was driving down Catherine Street.
The driver of the vehicle pulled over to inspect the damage, and while she was doing this she was verbally abused by a group of youths.
They then approached her and punched her male passenger.
On the day of the incident a 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of two counts of common assault, criminal damage, possession of cannabis and cultivating cannabis.
A 17-year-old boy was also arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.
They have both been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.
PC James Bates, from the local policing team, said:
“Despite these two arrests, our investigation is very much ongoing and we would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the disorder and might be able to assist.
